On a show with Kyungri, he was asked if a love line was possible by the producers, to which he replied, "(I have no feelings towards her), if someone told me to beat her to death, I could do it."

Upon finding out that Kyungri never saved his phone number, he said again, "I'll hit you in Korea one day."

Netizens have since taken to his Instagram to comment on all of his posts, "You going to hit that woman?" and "We don't want to see a celebrity make a joke out of hitting a woman."

1. [+3,268, -121] Kangnam messed up. He's a public figure and it's not like he said it once but multiple times on TV.

2. [+2,809, -93] Even if it was just a joke, he should've known better than to talk like that...

3. [+2,346, -510] People who threaten to hit you usually never hit you. It's the people who don't say anything who will actually do it. I'm sure Kangnam meant it as a joke but he still made a mistake and he should apologize for it.

4. [+244, -4] The phrase shouldn't be "you shouldn't hit women", it should be "you shouldn't hit people."

5. [+201, -6] It doesn't matter that he wouldn't hit her in real life. The problem is that he said that at all.

6. [+193, -6] Why would you ever say you'd beat someone to death.. tsk tsk. Imagine how upset her parents would be if they heard this? To see a guy saying he was willing to beat their own daughter to death? Ugh, so gross.

7. [+172, -15] So thoughtless... Kangnam had such a good image too but all that's gone now. I'm sure he meant it as a joke but jokes like this don't fly in Korea...

8. [+170, -9] Maybe that's why UEE dumped him...

9. [+152, -6] I can see why UEE left him... he's thoughtless with his words.

10. [+78, -5] It doesn't matter whether he'd actually beat her or not, it's that he said this on TV thinking it's okay when it's not.
